Gavin Hardeman Delivers Electric Performance Vs Bancroft-Rosalie
Starting off the list is Lyons-Decatur Northeast's Gavin Hardeman, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hardeman rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Those 248 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Unfortunately for Bancroft-Rosalie, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Hardeman. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Hardeman saw the Panthers), he rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

Buchholz Posts Huge Game in 54-42 Victory
Nick Buchholz's big game helped extend Bancroft-Rosalie's winning streak to seven on Friday. Buchholz was dynamite, throwing for 277 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 37 yards and two touchdowns.
Buchholz must have Lyons-Decatur Northeast's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Buchholz rushed for 42 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 135 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes the last time he and the Cougars duked it out back in September of 2023.

Graysen Briggs and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Bancroft-Rosalie picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Graysen Briggs. Nobody could stop Briggs as he rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 75 yards.
Briggs must have Lyons-Decatur Northeast's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Briggs saw the Cougars), he rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.

Bancroft-Rosalie picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Braylon Wegner. Wegner was dynamite, picking up 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast's probably not too fond of Wegner given he always seems to get the better of them. Wegner picked up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Cougars duked it out back in September of 2023.

A Season-Best Effort from Landen Cooper Leads Lyons-Decatur Northeast over Bancroft-Rosalie
Lyons-Decatur Northeast came up short on Friday despite Landen Cooper delivering his best game to date. Cooper rushed for 221 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 52 yards.
This season, Cooper has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 125.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had five rushing touchdowns.
