Benson is 0-10 against Creighton Prep since December of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Benson Bunnies will be taking part in a tournament against the Creighton Prep Junior Jays at 1:30 p.m. One thing working in Benson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
Benson will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Bryan, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Benson simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Bryan 79-43. The Bunnies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 29 points or more this season.

Daniel Lino was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 35 points and 29 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Goanar Bamach, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds.
Benson was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bryan only posted seven assists.
Meanwhile, Creighton Prep faced Bellevue West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Creighton Prep walked away with an 81-72 victory over Bellevue West.
The match pitted two dominant forwards against one another in Trinell Parker and Robert Garcia. Parker had a solid game and went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. Meanwhile, Garcia was balling out in the loss, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards.
Creighton Prep's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Benson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Saturday's match is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Benson just can't miss this season, having made 49.4% of their field goals per game. However, it's not like Creighton Prep struggles in that department as they've nailed 47.8% of their shots this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Benson took a serious blow against Creighton Prep in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 76-40. Can Benson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
