Kaelyn Dionne made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Alexa Sherman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Aezlin Rost was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Minnechaug Regional kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.
Minnechaug Regional now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Franklin County Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
