The Mancelona Ironmen will square off against the Bellaire Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Mancelona took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Onaway get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. While the Ironmen didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Ryan Naumcheff was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Bellaire came up short against Inland Lakes on Friday and fell 5-1. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Bellaire saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Bearup, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Bellaire's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-2-1. As for Mancelona, their win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-3.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Mancelona has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .456. However, it's not like Bellaire struggles in that department as they've averaged .459. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Mancelona's way against Bellaire in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, as Mancelona made off with a 15-0 victory. Will the Ironmen repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
