Even though the Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles have not done well against the Paradise Valley Christian Prep Panthers recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Arrowhead Christian Academy put the hurt on Paradise Valley Christian Prep with a sharp 53-27 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Arrowhead Christian Academy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arrowhead Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cristian DeLaCruz, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. DeLaCruz is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
The win got Arrowhead Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Paradise Valley Christian Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Arrowhead Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Our Lady of the Sun Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paradise Valley Christian Prep, they will be playing at home against Sonoran Science Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
