Coral Springs Charter lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jalen McGregor, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks. McGregor also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Chin, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds.
Jonathan Berwig continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pompano Beach, scoring 18 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Berwig has scored at least a third of Pompano Beach's points. Devin Watson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Coral Springs Charter's loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Pompano Beach, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Coral Springs Charter will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pirates at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pompano Beach's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Bulldogs at 9:30 a.m. on January 27th. South Broward is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
