East Mecklenburg can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 64-52 victory over Piedmont.
East Mecklenburg can attribute much of their success to Jade Marshall, who scored 16 points, and Mackenna Weisner, who scored 18 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Presense Downer, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Rocky River's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-37 victory over Berry. The victory was just what Rocky River needed coming off of a 69-27 defeat in their prior contest.
Sun Valley's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while East Mecklenburg's defeat dropped theirs to 1-4.
East Mecklenburg came out on top in a nail-biter against Rocky River in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 25-23. Will East Mecklenburg repeat their success, or does Rocky River have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
