The Port Gibson Blue Waves's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down South Delta 62-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Port Gibson also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Port Gibson found their leader in underclassman Camara Evans, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ger'Kiya Flowers, who scored 21 points.
Port Gibson's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for South Delta, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Port Gibson's road trip will continue as they head out to face South Delta at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for South Delta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Port Gibson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Port Gibson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 41 on Friday.
