The losing side was boosted by Jacob Domingcil, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Korey Abantao, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, Homestead came up short against San Mateo on Saturday and fell 48-38.
Washington now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Homestead, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Washington was able to grind out a solid victory over Homestead when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 55-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Washington since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
