Even though the Shiprock Chieftains have not done well against the Gallup Bengals recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Shiprock walked away with a 71-62 victory over the Bengals. The victory was familiar territory for Shiprock who now have three in a row.
Nevaughn Begay continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points. Begay is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. Donte Nelson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
