Doherty is 8-2 against the Rams since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Doherty Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Rampart Rams at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Doherty's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 13 matches.
On Monday, everything came up roses for Doherty on the road against the Lancers as the team secured a 76-39 win. Doherty pushed the score to 57-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lancers had little chance of recovering from.
James Pulliam continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for five games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Foster-Gebur, who scored ten points along with three blocks.
Meanwhile, Rampart was the victim of a tough 57-36 loss at the hands of the Wolves on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Rampart has scored all season.
Doherty is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Rampart, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Doherty strolled past the Rams in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 94-75. The rematch might be a little tougher for Doherty since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
