King City waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the DeKalb Tigers 16-2. Considering the Wildkats have won six matches by more than ten runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Darwin Bowden, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. King City is undefeated when Bowden posts two or more stolen bases, but 7-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Graham Medsker, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

King City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

King City's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for DeKalb, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King City will venture away from home to square off against Osborn at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeKalb, they will square off against Rock Port at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Jays have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
