Taylor County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Chan Lumpkin, who scored 24 points, and Brayden Ellison who scored 21 points. The matchup was Ellison's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ajavian Wilder, who scored ten points.
Putnam County's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Taylor County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
