The Chaparral Roadrunners were the 35-0 winner over the Haven Wildcats when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Chaparral took a serious blow against Haven on Friday, falling 47-7. Chaparral has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jack Walker threw for 163 yards and a touchdown. Tyce Pfaff was his top target, picking up 63 receiving yards and no touchdowns.
Among those leading the charge was Van Loop, who rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns. Nash Wray got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Haven, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chaparral will face off against Southeast of Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southeast of Saline is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Haven, they will head out on the road to face off against Ellsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Will Cravens and Wray.
