Fayetteville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Hammonds, who rushed for 160 yards and a pair of TDs. What's more, Hammonds posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Presley Duke, who rushed for 66 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Boice rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, while Cotton rushed for 158 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Cotton's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 110 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Fayetteville's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Billingsley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Fayetteville and Billingsley will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wolves will square off against rival Wadley at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. Meanwhile, Billingsley is set to face off against their familiar foe Autauga Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
