The Chiles Timberwolves had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 45-23 margin over Crossroad Academy. Given Chiles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Scorpions are ranked 614th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Faith Durden continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Chiles' points. Logan Poole was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Chiles' victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Crossroad Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Chiles will square off against the Dolphins at TBD on Monday. Mosley is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Crossroad Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Tigers on February 5th.
