The Northeast Guilford Rams suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Dudley on the road and fell 76-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northeast Guilford has scored all season.
Northeast Guilford lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Levi Webb, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Aaryn Tate was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Northeast Guilford struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Dudley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cortney "CJ" Jones out in front who scored 19 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Jerron Blackwell, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Northeast Guilford now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Dudley, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast Guilford's road trip will continue as they head out to face Atkins at 8:00 p.m. on January 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Atkins is ranked 410th, while Northeast Guilford is ranked 389th). As for Dudley, they will head out on the road to challenge Rockingham County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockingham County is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60.2 points per game.
