The Monticello Billies will venture away from home to face off against the White Hall Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monticello is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.
On Tuesday, Monticello made easy work of Crossett and carried off a 12-1 win. Considering the Billies have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Alaina Lyle made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, Addi Frazer was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Libby Kingston, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Monticello was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crossett only posted a batting average of .105.
Meanwhile, while White Hall put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Arkansas. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Razorbacks 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since March 21st.
The result came thanks to Kenley Daniel's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Allie Rushing, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Ratliff, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
White Hall's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-9-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Monticello, their record now sits at 15-7.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Monticello has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .506. However, it's not like White Hall struggles in that department as they've averaged .431. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Monticello skirted past White Hall 1-0 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Billies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
