The United Longhorns won the last time they faced the Laredo LBJ Wolves, and things went their way on Friday too. United strolled past Laredo LBJ with points to spare, taking the game 28-9. Given United's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while Laredo LBJ is ranked 886th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead United to victory, but perhaps none more so than Atzel Chavez Jr., who threw for 317 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Alek Leven, who picked up 129 receiving yards and a touchdown.
United's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Laredo LBJ, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
United does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Laredo LBJ also has no future games currently scheduled.
