Riverbend and Colonial Forge are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverbend is coming into the match hot, having won their last 13 games.
Riverbend came out on top against North Stafford on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Bears took their contest against the Wolverines 5-2. The game was the first time the Bears have beaten the Wolverines on their field since March 22, 2023.

Chloe King spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ryleigh Livesay was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Maddie Baugh, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Riverbend kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Stafford only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, Colonial Forge hadn't done well against Mountain View recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since April 14th.
Riverbend pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Colonial Forge, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8.
Riverbend was able to grind out a solid win over Colonial Forge in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 6-3. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
