Fredericksburg Christian took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (and then some). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Catholic Crusaders 41-7 at home.
Fredericksburg Christian found their leader in underclassman Trip Blalock, who threw for 264 yards and five touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Nate Caesar was Blalock's top target, picking up 80 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Fredericksburg Christian's defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Camden Scott and Cameron Bon-Ami who racked up four sacks between them.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fredericksburg Christian will welcome St. Anne's-Belfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Catholic, they will be defending their home-field for the first time for the first time when they go up against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
