Despite the defeat, Wabasha-Kellogg saw an underclassman step up: Jessalyn Adams scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Adams has scored all season. Ileana DeAngel was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Wabasha-Kellogg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. This was only their 15th loss (out of 18 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Wabasha-Kellogg's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for United South Central, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wabasha-Kellogg will take on Chatfield at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for United South Central, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Cleveland at 7:15 p.m. United South Central is facing Cleveland at the right time seeing as Cleveland is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
