Heritage is 7-2 against Highlands Ranch since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will face off against the Falcons at 4:15 p.m. Heritage is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Heritage lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Legend, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Eagles blew past the Titans 16-3 on Monday. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

James Kellogg made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Heritage got a massive performance out of Elliott Milstead, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Milstead a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Eells, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI and one double.
Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Highlands Ranch couldn't beat Chaparral on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Falcons lost 18-8 to the Wolverines. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered since March 22nd.
Ayden Wells and Garrett Williams did some serious damage despite the final result: Wells went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Williams went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those stolen bases marked the first that Williams has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Cody Dane, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Highlands Ranch's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-10. As for Heritage, their record now sits at 6-13.
Heritage took their victory against Highlands Ranch in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
