Baseball Recap: Prosper Wins Going Away Against Mckinney

Prosper's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the McKinney Lions. Considering the Eagles have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Prosper is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for McKinney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Prosper is set to square off against their familiar foe Allen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Prosper 2.4, Allen 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, McKinney will challenge rival McKinney Boyd at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
