The Altamont Longhorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 80-53 loss at the hands of Wendover. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Altamont has suffered yet this season.
Wendover's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raul Valle, who scored 26 points along with six assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Valle has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Efren Delmuro, who scored 17 points along with five assists and three steals.
Altamont bumped their record down to 3-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wendover, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Altamont will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Green River at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. One thing working in Green River's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests. As for Wendover, they will head out on the road to take on Manila at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
