After flying high against the Huntingdon Bearcats on Friday, the Penn Cambria Panthers came back down to earth. Penn Cambria was outmatched by the Marauders on the road and fell 88-40. While losing is never fun, Penn Cambria can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Marauders are ranked 78th).
Easton Semelsberger and Brandon Rabish certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Semelsberger scored 13 points along with four steals, while Rabish scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Thomas Plunkett, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Penn Cambria's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penn Cambria will challenge the Hilltoppers at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Westmont Hilltop will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they will head out on the road to face off against the Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
