The Grangeville Bulldogs had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.4 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 73-22 win over Orofino. Grangeville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 25 points or more this season.
Grangeville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Madalyn Green out in front who scored 24 points along with six steals. Green is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addisyn Vanderwall, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Grangeville's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Orofino, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Grangeville will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Orofino does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
