The Barnwell Warhorses lost against the Silver Bluff Bulldogs last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Barnwell took a hard 58-39 fall against Silver Bluff.
Several Warhorses players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cedric Hart, who scored eight points. Jayden Pickney was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Silver Bluff's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justin Perry led the charge by scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Zyrell Williamson, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Barnwell has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Silver Bluff, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Barnwell will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgeland-Hardeeville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Ridgeland-Hardeeville is ranked 221st, while Barnwell is ranked 235th). As for Silver Bluff, they will square off against Hephzibah at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
