The Natoma Tigers suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Monday. They were the victim of a rough 39-18 loss at the hands of Plainville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Natoma in their matchups with Plainville: they've now lost four in a row.
Natoma lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lillian Carter, who scored six points along with 20 rebounds and four steals. Carter hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of MaKayla Murphy, who scored four points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Natoma has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Plainville, their victory ended a 15-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Natoma will take on Pike Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pike Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Friday. As for Plainville, they will head out on the road to challenge Russell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
