Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cape Hatteras). They blew past the Hobgood Charter Raiders 50-19 on Tuesday. The Hurricanes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Leading Cape Hatteras to victory were Taylor Hickman and Paizley Schultz. Hickman almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards, while Schultz posted 17 points and six rebounds. Hickman is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Gabby Baker, who scored four points and seven rebounds.

Cape Hatteras smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

The victory got Cape Hatteras back to even at 6-6. As for Hobgood Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Cape Hatteras wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-27 loss against Bear Grass Charter on the 31st. As for Hobgood Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-53 defeat against Ocracoke on the 30th.
