Kelsey Smith made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Zack Guillory was incredible, going 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Parker Grubb was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run.
