1A-1 Region II District 8 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Bowie moved up to 934 from 1,041 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 1A-1 Region II District 8.
Honey Grove led the league in scoring this week after putting up 50 points on Rivercrest.
Hunter Jordan and Ross Bostick gave Boles a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Jordan threw for 17 yards and one touchdown, while Bostick ran for 122 yards. Teammate Jordan added to the ground attack by rushing for 112 yards.
Celeste's Braden Morrow and Bryce Keiffer have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Morrow has thrown for 248 yards this season, while Keiffer, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has five catches for 103 yards. Jordan from the Hornets leads the league in rushing with 327 yards.
The Pirates made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,444 from 12,178.
