Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wheatland). Everything went their way against the Bear River Bruins on Friday as the Wheatland Pirates made off with an 8-2 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Pirates as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Wheatland's win bumped their record up to 2-4-2. As for Bear River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Wheatland didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against Destiny Christian Academy on the 14th. Bear River has also already played their next game, a 6-0 loss against Placer on the 13th.
