Clinton Central hasn't had much luck against Delphi Community recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Oracles at 5:30 p.m. Clinton Central will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Clinton Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over Sheridan on Friday.

Nuriah Harvey made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Addi Mounts was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Raegan Richie was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Clinton Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Delphi Community came up short against Clinton Prairie on Tuesday, falling 9-2.
Delphi Community saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Draper, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Abie Pearson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Clinton Central now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Delphi Community, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
Delphi Community's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Clinton Central has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Delphi Community, though, as they've been averaging 9.7 hits. Given Clinton Central's sizable advantage in that area, the Oracles will need to find a way to close that gap.
Clinton Central couldn't quite finish off Delphi Community in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
