The Casa Grande Gauchos were the 54-37 winner over the Novato Hornets when they last played one another back in December of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. Casa Grande fell 57-50 to Novato on Saturday.
Despite the loss, Casa Grande still got an impressive performance from Jeffrey Rice, who scored 24 points along with 6 rebounds. The game was Rice's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Bugbee, who scored 5 points along with 11 rebounds.
Casa Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Novato, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Casa Grande will take on Washington at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Novato, they will be playing at home against McClymonds at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
