Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Huss to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooklyn Swann, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, Swann also racked up eight steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Jaleila Littlejohn was another key player, as she made all 6 shots she took racking up 17 points in addition to seven boards and five steals.
Huss smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, everything went Stuart W. Cramer's way against Crest on Friday as Stuart W. Cramer made off with a 63-41 win. The Storm have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 22 points or more this season.
Huss better focus on containing Oshauna Holland and Lauren Humphrey as the pair were huge in Stuart W. Cramer's win. Holland dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten assists, while Humphrey dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Holland is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 52 games she's played dating back to last season.
Huss' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points over those games. As for Stuart W. Cramer, their record is now 20-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Huss has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 39.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Stuart W. Cramer struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Huss was able to grind out a solid win over Stuart W. Cramer in their previous matchup back in January, winning 61-50. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Holland, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Huss still be able to contain Holland? There's only one way to find out.
