The Heritage Academy Eagles made easy work of the Menifee County Wildcats on Friday and carried off a 16-1 victory. Considering the Eagles have won eight matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Benjamin Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He is becoming a predictor of Heritage Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Elliot Kloss was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
