The Lake Minneola Hawks were the 60-43 winner over the Zephyrhills Bulldogs when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lake Minneola took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Zephyrhills.
When it comes to explaining why Lake Minneola lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Ethan Isom. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Colbert, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Lake Minneola's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Zephyrhills, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Lake Minneola will head out on the road to challenge Orlando Christian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orlando Christian Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lake Minneola in Florida (Orlando Christian Prep is ranked 12th, while Lake Minneola is ranked 190th). As for Zephyrhills, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cypress Creek at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
