Softball Recap: Emerson's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Emerson had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They blew past the Frisco Raccoons 12-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in March.

Emerson got a massive performance out of Ellie Thurman, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Gianna Lipsky, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double.

Emerson's record now sits at 13-6. As for Frisco, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Emerson is set to face off against their familiar foe Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Frisco will square off against rival Lebanon Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
