Lillian Shmois was Lake Ridge Academy's leading scorer, having posted six points. Shmois also led the team in rebounds with 15.
Medina Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashley Conwill led the charge by scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Conwill has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Grace Hastings, who scored eight points along with 11 assists and four steals.
Lake Ridge Academy bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.2 points per game. As for Medina Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
Lake Ridge Academy will head out on the road to challenge Andrews Osborne Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Medina Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Central Christian at 5:00 p.m.
