Division III recap Nov. 7, 2012
Souhegan extended the longest winning streak in Division III this week by beating Goffstown, 32-27. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Sabers.
Portsmouth took down Alvirne 34-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
ConVal's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Riordan McCole has thrown for 217 yards this season, while Jeremy Doubleday has 12 catches for 130 yards. Chris Queen leads the league in rushing with 764 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Milford and the Clippers. The Spartans comes into the matchup ranked 20th in the state, while Portsmouth ranks 21st.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Milford takes on the Clippers. The Spartans have allowed 160 points this season, while Portsmouth has given up 125. Milford allowed 15 points last week as it topped Hollis-Brookline.
The Spartans led Division III in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on the Cavaliers.
