Joshua Thurmon spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 16 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Memphis Central is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Overton, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5-1.
Memphis Central took their victory against Overton when the teams last played last Friday by a conclusive 13-5 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
