The Guajome Park Academy Frogs were the 77-27 winner over the O'Farrell Charter Falcons when they last played one another back in November of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Guajome Park Academy lost to O'Farrell Charter on the road by a decisive 52-35 margin on Thursday. Guajome Park Academy just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
O'Farrell Charter was led to victory by Eric Epps and Sador Rusom. Epps scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Rusom scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Marcelo Cardenas, who scored five points.
Guajome Park Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-7. As for O'Farrell Charter, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-9.
Guajome Park Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Del Lago Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Del Lago Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Guajome Park Academy likes a good challenge. As for O'Farrell Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bayfront Charter at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
