Orchard Farm took an ego-bruising defeat against St. Charles West two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Friday. Everything went Orchard Farm's way against St. Charles last Friday as they made off with a 49-21 victory. With Orchard Farm ahead 28-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Warrenton fought the good fight in their overtime game but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it as the team lost 42-43 to Winfield. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
Orchard Farm's win lifted them to 3-4 while Warrenton's loss dropped them down to 1-6. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
