This season hasn't been kind to The Comstock Colts, who are still winless after their ninth game. They were beaten by Lawton 64-0 on Friday. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for zero points.
Comstock's loss was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 1.2 points per game. As for Lawton, the victory was the sixth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Comstock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lawton will be playing in front of their home fans against Schoolcraft at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Schoolcraft is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
