Kenwood is on  a 16-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Kirkwood a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Kenwood Knights will take on the Kirkwood Cobras at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  match.
 Kenwood might be feeling deja-vu: they lost  49-38 to Dickson County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Kenwood has struggled against Dickson County recently, as their  game on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
 Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from  Yazmine Pearson, who  scored ten points. Another player making a difference was  Nyla Murphy, who  scored nine points.
 Kirkwood lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the  defeat they were handed on  on Friday was a bit more commanding. They had to suffer through a rough  64-36 loss at the hands of Springfield. Kirkwood was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  32-9.
 Kenwood's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Kirkwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
