Basketball Recap: Waldron Piles Up the Points Against Southwestern

Waldron won the last time they faced Southwestern and things went their way on Friday too. The Waldron Mohawks simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Southwestern Spartans 56-19. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mohawks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Waldron to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Stewart, who went 6 for 11 en route to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Parker Douglas, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Waldron has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Southwestern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Waldron has already played their next game, a 48-46 defeat against Oldenburg Academy on the 1st. As for Southwestern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 86-56 victory against Herron on the 1st.
