After losing to the College View Academy Eagles the last time they met, the Cedar Bluffs Wildcats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Cedar Bluffs snuck past College View Academy with a 20-15 victory on Tuesday.
Madelyn Elizabeth thomas was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. Addy Sweeney was another key contributor, scoring 2 points along with 3 steals.
The victory got Cedar Bluffs back to even at 1-1. As for College View Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Bluffs will face off against Boys Town on Thursday. Hopefully Boys Town focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for College View Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Lewiston on Thursday. Allowing an average of 52 points per game, Lewiston has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this contest.
