Meanwhile, University School won against Brunswick on Wednesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Preppers beat Shaker Heights by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-1.
Aaron Moss made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Moss was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Jack Nelson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Cayden Zelenak also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
University School's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Kenston, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
