Heritage is a perfect 9-0 against Southern Wells since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Patriots will square off against the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Heritage is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Heritage proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Fort Wayne Bishop Luers 7-6.

The team relied heavily on Cameron Rauner, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Landri Linder, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Southern Wells lost 12-2 to Bluffton on Tuesday. The Raiders have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Heritage's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Southern Wells, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Heritage has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. However, it's not like Southern Wells struggles in that department as they've averaged .452. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Heritage took their victory against Southern Wells in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
